Nice to know Plants have best friends just like people do. Marigolds help tomatoes and roses grow better. Nasturtiums keep bugs away from squash and broccoli. Petunias protect beans from beetles and oregano chases them away from cucumbers. Geraniums keep Japanese beetles away from roses and corn. Chives make carrots sweeter, and basil makes tomatoes even tastier

Pistacio Nut- The pistachio is native to Asia Minor, Syria and Biblical Lands where it has been cultivated since the dawn of history. In addition to producing the famous nut, the pistachio tree is also a very attractive ornamental, its foliage turning a brilliant yellow in the fall. The trees are male and female. One male can pollinate about 12 nut-bearing females. Trees are usually pruned to size but can grow to about 30′ in height. Males can reach 50′. Zone 7-9
