Buying a Gift for Weight Conscious Women

We all know how tricky it could be to order food for somebody who is obsessively concerned with their weight. Especially if you are a guy, sometimes there is a fine line between commenting on a meal and telling a girl that she is fat. You never know when you might be offending a woman at the dinner table, especially if it’s full of vegetarians and exercise freaks. As a way to apologize for any misconceptions of the past, it might be a great idea to get your woman some type of gift that will contribute to her healthy weight obsession. Here are four great gifts for the self conscious exercise nut.

  1. Workout Videos: I’m not talking the lame 90’s routines like step-aerobics, although it’s fun. Get her something more modern like an exercise ball dvd or some new Pilates or Yoga video tapes. Either way, you know she’ll never feel like she has enough workout dvds to choose from.
  2. Vegetarian Recipe Book: This is a great gift for women who prefer to stay away from fast food and going out, and who prepare their own meals. You can get a vegan or specific diet cookbook as well such as the famous weight watchers calorie counters.
  3. A Gift Certificate at the Spa: Chances are, your lady already has a membership to the gym. If that’s the case get her a gift card for a relaxing evening at the spa. This will help to relax her muscles and calm her nerves. Usually weight conscious people are overall health freaks so getting her something that will make her feel good about herself while simultaneously acting as reward is just about the perfect gift for woman.
  4. New Tennis Shoes: Get your workout buddy some new equipment. Whether she needs some new running shoes, a better resistance band, or a smaller exercise ball, get her something she will really appreciate and use on a consistent basis.

Those are just four ideas. If you are shopping for a weight conscious lady this holiday season just remember what they take pride in, their body and their health. Get them something you know they don’t have like a vegan cook book or the newest pilates exercise balls. Which ever route you go you will surely make up for the times when you accidentally, but not really at all, called her fat or indirectly offended her body.
