Medicine Buddha Mantra

The mantra, or even the name of the Medicine Buddha (Skt: Bhaisajyaguru, Tib: Sangye Menla, Chin: Yaoshi-fo, Jap:Yakushi) is beneficial. Ven. Thrangu Rinpoche has said that a mantra is essentially an elaboration on the deity’s name, and that any mantra is the shortest possible form of the sadhana. The Sanskrit mantra of Medicine Buddha is: Tayata, Om, Bhaishaye Bhaishaye Maha-Bhaishaye Raja Samudgate, Svaha. or, pronounced the Tibetan way: Tayata, Om, bekandzeh, bekandzeh maha-bekandzeh …

    This is a wonderful mantra video, thank you. But I also feel that we need to know how mantra is powerful and what thebenefits are. I receommend watching this video to know more- MANTRAS – Holy Words of Power” by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. May the 3 jewels bless us always.

    This mantra helped me to get rid all mental illness,
    i would definetly recomended everyone to perform this kind of meditation.
    we know all of our negative emotions leads to our negative thoughts and distrations,
    but with this meditation makes opposite.

    I have a CD of this version called “Medicine Buddha” and it is sung by Tenzing Tsewang, which I believe is sung on this video. Just ask for the CD with Tenzing Tsewang, it’s absolutely beautiful!
